January 2012

Jenny Lyon has taken early retirement for health reasons, and is not accepting new clients.

I am a British Chartered Educational Psychologist with over 40 years’ experience, working in England (West and East Sussex) and the Geneva - Lausanne - Montreux area of Switzerland (based at my clinic in Leysin, Vaud). I specialise in the assessment of English speaking children and young adults (aged 3 - 19) and also adults with educational difficulties (e.g. dyslexia).

In September 2009, I opened a new clinic in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex, England (10mins from Brighton, 60mins from London and 20mins from London Gatwick Airport) where I am ideally placed for families living in the West/East Sussex, Surrey and Kent areas.

I am qualified to work with talented and gifted children, as well as those who have learning difficulties, behaviour problems and other special needs (including visual and verbal dyslexia, dyspraxia, AD/HD, autism, language impairments, and non-verbal learning difficulties). I also work in schools where bullying has taken place, using the highly successful No Blame Approach to Bullying protocol. I have a particular interest in assessing bi-lingual and multi-lingual children, and advising parents on their educational placement and learning requirements.

As a Chartered Psychologist I am licensed to administer Intelligence Quotient (IQ) tests.

I am also available for in-service training of teachers and other professionals, and to advise parents regarding choosing a school. As a consultant, I have advised schools on policy documents and decisions, and also designed and monitored day-to-day remedial programmes.

Having assessed a child, I remain available and committed until their problems are fully resolved.
